The motor is a GE 9 inch removed from a 6500lb Hyster forklift. I think it was a good purchase for $100. It cleaned up good and works good too! Pictured here is the brand new manual rack&pinion from a 1995 escort, It is New Old Stock at a cost of $115.
The motor is prepped and ready for paint.
The adapter plate is made of 35lbs of heavy iron. My budget would not allow for aluminum and a C&C machine.
It's true what they say, "beat to fit paint to match". A little paint does wonders. |
